Ilmiofuturo is pleased to announce the launch of Green Craft Up, a European project co-funded by the Erasmus+ KA210-VET programme, designed to support low-skilled adult workers in the craft sector to acquire new green competences essential to face the challenges of the ecological transition.
🎯 Project Objectives
Green Craft Up pursues two main goals:
- To train vocational education and training (VET) trainers on innovative processes, methodologies and tools to help craft workers upskill their green competences.
- To raise awareness among low-skilled adult workers on the importance of (re)training to embrace the changes brought by the green economy.
In a context where the European Union is strongly promoting the Green Deal, this project provides a concrete response to labour market needs and the goal of making traditional trades more sustainable.
🛠️ What We Will Do
The project will be structured into several key activities:
- Development of guidelines and a practical toolkit for trainers, supporting them in designing upskilling paths focused on green skills.
- An outreach campaign directly involving craft workers through creative initiatives such as educational escape rooms, sustainability-themed games and hands-on activities to explore the opportunities of the green transition.
- Local multiplier events to share results with companies, training bodies, business associations and policymakers.
🤝 A European Partnership
GreenCraft brings together four organizations from Germany and Italy:
- WFS Bildungs gUG (coordinator)
- ilmiolavoro srl
- Kreishandwerkerschaft Region Karlsruhe
- Savini srl
🌱 Why It Matters
The transition to a green economy is not only a matter for new generations. It is crucial that experienced workers, who are often less involved in training initiatives, have the opportunity to develop the skills needed to remain competitive and contribute to a more sustainable future.
Green Craft Up aims to be a replicable model, providing practical tools that can be used even after the project’s completion.
